For over 30 years I have used both eyeglass neck cords or croakies and the add-on stainless steel pocket clips for eyeglasses on my glasses & sunglasses. The cord eyeglass retainer do a good job of keeping your glasses protected from damage and most of the time your glasses hang nicely on your chest. Only occasionally do they become awkward for instance, if you jog or run at which time you have to hold them from flopping all over the place. The pocket clips for eyeglasses stay attached to your pocket when running. Eyeglass fashion neck cords, while they look very nice, can cost 5 to 10 times the price of a pocket clip which is just $3.99. The eyeglass fashion chain also does a good job but some peoples neck turn green depending on the material used in the chain. The pocket clip does not have this problem obviously, because it does not go around your neck. The nice looking pocket clip for eyeglasses does have one disadvantage and that is a lighter, match or heat gun is required to install the clips to the temple arm of a pair of glasses in order to shrink the clear heat shrink tubing. The disadvantage lies in the fact that some people don’t use common sense when using a lighter or match and burn themselves. Duh! Also most people don’t have a heat gun and a hair dryer does not provide hot enough heat. The lanyards or spectacle straps do have one big advantage over the pocket clips and that is if you wear clothing without pockets. Also the pocket clip works well in a shirt pocket but just unfolds if clipped to the neck of a T-shirt. An adjustable neck cord with rubber tips does allow the user to adjust the length of the cord but still costs considerably more than a pocket clip.
Eyeglass cases obviously protect eyewear the best when not being used. The problem comes with carrying this glasses holder on your person so that they are readily available for use. These eyeglass cases are just too bulky.

After ruining yet another pair of glasses that fell out of my pocket, I googled and found you. I just ordered two and the website did not indicate the third free, but I trust you’ll send that along. I loose glasses frequently, so I don’t know how long 3 will last but I know where to get more when I need ‘em! Thanks!
